Is WoW Fishing Worth the Effort?

There is a lot of controversy over whether or not WoW Fishing is a good profession to have. Quite honestly, it's time consuming and can be a bit on the boring side for many players. With the time that you waste on this profession, you could easily be off grinding or completing quests.

That said, there are a few times when World of Warcraft fishing actually does pay off. Once you're at a high enough level, you can start producing Golden Fishsticks which will fetch a lot of gold at the auction house. It's also a good WoW profession for those that are looking for a change of pace.

At the end of the day, WoW fishing has its uses, but I wouldn't make it my primary profession. It's a secondary at best, and only if you have a lot of free time on your hands, or you've already gone through all of the other professions already.

For those of you that are already trying out the World of Warcraft fishing profession, here is a great hint:

Don't waste time learning the skill of making fire. Even though you have to cook the fish you catch, this isn't necessary. You can simply cook your catches in a town. This saves you from having to get flint, wood and tinder for your fires and speeds up the whole process.

How do World of Warcraft Professions Work?

Once you have rolled your character in World of Warcraft, you'll be allowed to pick some special professions. There are two main types, primary and secondary, and these WoW professions are actually pretty important.

As you master your World of Warcraft profession, you'll be getting valuable experience points and you'll be making items that you can either use or sell. So, it is a good idea to really consider your options and your personal preferences when you are setting up your WoW professions.

Ideally, your secondary World of Warcraft profession should complement your first. As as example, if you have chosen alchemy as your primary profession, then enchanting would make a great secondary profession. In the case where you would choose leathercraft as your primary profession, skinning would be perfect for a secondary profession.

Once you have decided which World of Warcraft profession you're going to have, you'll need to go all the way through from apprenctice to master. If you decide to switch professions, you'll be starting from scratch again, so please keep that in mind.

There are many WoW profession guides that will help you along your way towards becoming a master and getting more experience points and gold along your journey.

If you're just starting in this game, you may be wondering how people end up with so much gold in so little time. Questing certainly doesn't give you much to go on, and unless you're buying WoW gold, which we do not recommend, it can seem almost impossible to try and get enough put aside.

You'll be needed a lot of World of Warcraft gold, and it can seem pretty frustrating at first. However, there is a secret that you can take advantage of and start collecting a lot of gold in very little time.

Grinding, also referred to as farming in some circles, refers to the practice of targeting mobs, picking up their drops and selling the items for gold. In many regions, you can easily make more than 20 gold pieces an hour, or even more. The key is letting those mobs regenerate and continuing the process.

With grinding, you'll be able to start amassing your fortune in WoW gold in no time at all.
